Staying Safe on Facebook - Be Connected Session @ Kingston Library

With over 1 billion daily active users, Facebook is the world’s most popular social networking site. It helps people stay connected, especially when they’re in different parts of the world. In this session, we will explore how when used with proper care, Facebook can be an enjoyable source of entertainment and a great way to connect with others.

Join our 1-hour session with the eSafety team to learn

  • What you can do on Facebook

  • How to take control of your privacy settings

  • Common scams on Facebook

  • How advertising works on Facebook

These sessions are run remotely by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. Kingston Library staff will host and facilitate this session and provide opportunity for a Q&A session at the end.

Important Safety information:

  • We require all participants to be registered, walkins will not be accepted.

  • Social distancing must be maintained and we request that all attendees assist with this.

  • Good hygiene practices will apply during the class and hand sanitising will be required before and after class.

  • Important, please do not attend if you are unwell.
