Websites are vital to do business – but for many small business operators, there is so much to learn! So we at The Van Diemen Project are going to run through a three part series of simple website fundamental delivered as online sessions to help you manage your digital presence and understand your website better to make it effective and impactful.

This two-hour session will help you understand the key terminologies of websites, the key steps to create your own website as well as how you can refine your website with some tips and tricks to make your site more effective.

During this workshop you will learn:

1. Why people and businesses have websites and the vocabulary of website development so it does not sound like someone is speaking another language!

2. The steps of building your own website which includes your content, choosing a domain name, web host and platform, the theme and even if you should be the one building it in the first place.

3. Tips and tricks to make your website more effective, which includes considering the design, user experience and ways to optimise it for search engines.
