UHack 2019

UHack 2019 
UHack is Tasmania's innovation hackathon competition - run for student and public innovators - by staff and students from the University of Tasmania.

UHack is running simultaneously in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie over the weekend of Friday 6 -8 September 2019 open to the public and students.

UHack is not all about programming – it’s also about identifying problems and opportunities, developing a business model, and putting together a pitch video that summarises your project. 

We encourage creative ideas, balanced team with marketing, business, financial, programming skills, developer, tester, communications skills, leaderships skills, innovation, fresh ideas and entrepreneur minds. What you develop is up to you – all we ask is you identify an opportunity or solve a problem or need that aligns with our research themes.

Register a team, please note that UHack is a team-based event. Team sizes should be between 4 and 6 people.

Instructions for teams: If you are entering a team make sure you choose the team option after clicking Register. If necessary create a team, register the team and then select the number of tickets for your team required. Fill in the details for each of your team members.

Important - what to do if you don't have a team: If you don't have a team but wish to enter UHack, please register and attend one of our upcoming UHack meet-up events where you'll have the chance to meet other people and form a team. We'll publish the details of the meet-ups over next fews weeks on the UHack website and Facebook. Alternatively, use our Facebook page to contact other people who might like to form a team with you. Please note that we can't guarantee that you'll be placed in a team - but we'll try during the meetup! You will need to be part of a team to compete in UHack.
