Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using or signing up to the Business Tasmania Event Calendar. Business Tasmania reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
By providing your personal information to Business Tasmania on signing up to the event calendar, you authorise The Crown in the Right of the State of Tasmania (the Crown), as represented by Business Tasmania, to collect and use that personal information for the purposes of the event calendar as part of Business Tasmania's promotion of business events.
Services provided by the Event Calendar
Business Tasmania provides this calendar to list events that provide advice and assistance to businesses. These events are organised, sponsored or authorised by Tasmanian Government departments and agencies, including statutory authorities.
Individuals can register on this site to save a shortlist of events, receive notifications of upcoming shortlisted events, receive notification of future events based on saved searches and submit events to be included on the event calendar.
Events listed on the event calendar are sourced from a variety of public sources as deemed appropriate by Business Tasmania. All events published on the event calendar have been approved for inclusion by Business Tasmania.
Business Tasmania does not warrant the accuracy, adequacy, completeness or timeliness of the content on this website or any 3rd party linked website or resource. All information may be changed, supplemented, deleted or updated without notice at the sole discretion of Business Tasmania, or independently by those organisations and users. Business Tasmania disclaims all warranties, either express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement of third parties' rights, and fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk and is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Business Tasmania does not warrant that the service will meet your specific requirements.
Users’ personal data will be available to Business Tasmania as owners of this site. Personal data includes Users' names and email addresses. Personal information provided to Business Tasmania through the event calendar signup will be managed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004. The Business Tasmania event calendar may not be used for any of the following purposes:
- To contact Users regarding any issue apart from the purpose of the event calendar.
- To contact Users to offer any services from a 3rd party company.
- To post any illegal or offensive content.
The event calendar has a number of automated email alerts, including notifications about upcoming events the user has shortlisted or may be interested in based on a saved search.
The Crown takes no responsibility for any deliberate or inadvertent inaccuracies in event listings.
Business Tasmania reserves the right to edit or delete any information submitted by the User to the event calendar. Where a User's information has been edited or deleted by Business Tasmania, that user will be notified by email, prior to the edit going live or immediately after deletion, whichever applies.
Users warrant that they hold the necessary rights to all material posted by them to the event calendar. The Crown accepts no liability for any breach of copyright by Users of the event calendar. Business Tasmania reserves the right to remove material from the event calendar that it reasonably believes is in breach of intellectual property laws.
The Crown, including its officers, employees and agents does not accept liability including liability for negligence, for any loss resulting from the inclusion of a User's event in the event calendar or from any action by Business Tasmania to preclude a User’s event from inclusion in the event calendar. The Crown makes no assurances of any attendance by visitors to the Business Tasmania event calendar at submitted events.
